There are many secrets in the hills of the Himalayas that no one knows till today. There are many ancient monasteries and caves of Jain, Buddhist and Hindu saints in the Himalayas. It is believed that there are many such ascetics in the caves today, who have been performing penance for thousands of years. It is belived that there are many monasteries are situated in the Himalayas like Joshimath, Hemis math and Gyanganj etc. There are thousands of such wondrous caves at Kedarnath, Badrinath, Amarnath etc. where the common man can not go. Gyanganj is a mystical hermitage in the Himalayas which is also known as Shambala, Siddhashram or Shangri-La. According to a tradition, it is located in a secret land deep in the Himalayas, where great yogis, sadhus, and sages who are siddha's (enlightened people) live. It is said that the secret of immortality hidden here. Nobody knows its exact location in the Himalayas. It is not only famous in India but also in Tibet. This place is also revered as the mystical land of Shambhala by Tibetans. According to another tradition, the Siddhashrama is located in the Tibetean region , nearby Kailash parvat. This is a place which is easily obtained by the people like Sanyasi, Yeti, Monk and Yogi. It is impossible for an ordinary person to go there. It is believed that this place is hidden from sight or it exists in a different dimension altogether. No one dies in Gyanganj. The age of the yogis here does not increase because the time stops for them. The context of this supernatural land has been mentioned in many ancient scriptures along with four Vedas. The Gyanganj or Siddhashram is described as a divine place in spiritual journey. Somewhere, it is also said that the divine personalities like Ram, Krishna, Buddha are present along with their bodies at Gyanganj. Surprisingly, this place does not even appear on the Satellite. This place is not of any particular religion or culture. This place is mentioned in British author James Hilton's book 'Lost Horizon. The book was turned into a movie, also called Lost Horizon, in 1937 by director Frank Capra. It is best remembered as the origin of Shangri-La, a fictional utopian lamasery located high in the mountains of Tibet. Gyanganj is also mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharata. In it, it has been called Siddhashrama. People believe that this place is not of any particular religion or culture, whoever is worthy of it, can find it.
Gyanganj is a place for the enlightened people or siddhas. The person, who reaches high level in sadhana (meditation) can reach the mystical Gyanganj with the blessings of the guru, who is the regular of this place. Like many mystical places mentioned in different religions this place can't be seen with naked eyes, it's an experience and only through the path of meditation and spiritual awareness we can experience this place. Many Siddha yogi, yoginis, Apsara (Angel), saints are found to be meditating in this place. The beautiful flowers in the garden, trees, birds, siddha-yoga lake, meditating saints and many other things of the place cannot be described in words.
