Whenever there is a fire in the forest, the animals living there suffer the most, the animals suffering from the scorching heat of the fire, wander from door to door that they may get a chance to breathe a sigh of relief. But what will you say if you came to know that these animals themselves are responsible for setting fire in the forest? It dates back to the 1980s when a firefighter named Dick Yousen while extinguishing a fire in Kakadu National Park, Australia, saw a bird approaching and carrying away burning wood with it. And then drops it on the ground, due to which the flames of fire start burning in other areas as well. That is, where on one side these firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire, on the other hand, these birds were engaged in spreading the fire, seeing which they could not understand why these birds are doing this. 

Is a forest fire a well-planned conspiracy? Yes, it must be nothing less than a stupid thing to hear, because why would birds set fire to the forest which they call their home. While every bird knows that fire simply means death, now as far as we know birds cannot burn the fire by themselves, but this does not mean that they do not know how to use it properly.

There is such a bird named Firehawk which roams in the forest and deliberately sets fire to it. But now it is a matter of thinking that why and how can a bird do this, and where does this fire come from? So the answer is when lightning strikes in any area of the forest, then the fire starts burning there. After which these birds wait there for some time until the flames become less intense, so they can carry the burning woods. Although many times these birds take burning woods from the bonfire and throw them in the forest for turning it into a huge fire. But here comes the biggest question that why do these birds do this? 

So actually this is the hunting technique of this bird, which means that the bird adopts this technique to catch its prey. To do this, it takes a small piece of wood and sets it on fire by any means, and then throws the same burning wood into the middle of the forest, causing flames in the forest as well. Meanwhile, it keeps flying outside the forest waiting for its prey and as soon as a prey comes out, it immediately grabs it. This is a wonderful hunting technique of this bird to satisfy its hunger.
