Everyone is completely familiar with the word "Coma", in which a person remains in deep unconsciousness for a prolonged or indefinite period of time, which can be as long as one year to four years, or even thirty years or more. But the main question here is, what it's like to be in a coma? So according to various witnesses who have recovered after falling into a state of coma, many facts came to light when asked about their experiences.
Many people during Coma can't even move, but let's say they're in a coma state in the hospital, and if someone is talking to them, they can hear them, which means the hearing power is still active. You must have seen in movies and TV serials that someone is lying on the bed during Coma and someone comes and try to communicate with him/her. So according to various researches, this conversation is actually heard by the coma patients, even though they cannot react even if they want to. During this period they may feel emotions as well but cannot react.
According to the experiences of many people, it felt like they were literally trapped in a long dream, as long as they remain in the Coma state, that moment feels like a dream to them. Meaning, how do you feel in a dream, sometimes you are falling somewhere, sometimes flying, how strange it seems, which does not make any sense. So Coma too becomes a dreamlike state, the real world starts looking like a dream to them. This is a very common experience according to the people who have recovered from Coma.
Although some coma survivors report that they only saw darkness during the coma. For some, it was like a long out-of-body experience, and for others, it's as if they were dead and now wonder if they are really alive. Some people even spent their entire lives in Coma.
Even today, medical science has not been able to understand coma up to 100 percent, it has been understood to a great extent, but there are many such parts and states of coma which are still being studied. But it is still considered to be one of the strangest states that a person can experience in his life, meaning the most baffling experience one can ever have.
