Brushing teeth is a daily routine for everyone, but what if someone doesn't brush their teeth for a year? In today's article, we will talk about what kind of difficulties you may have with your teeth if you do not brush for a year.
The first question on everyone's mind would be that if you don't brush your teeth, after how many days will your teeth be permanently damaged, and will there come a time when the teeth will actually disappear from your mouth? So the answer would be if you do not brush, a yellowish substance will start to accumulate on your teeth, which we call as plaque, the mixture consisting of the leftover food, bacteria, as well as saliva. The plaque will also invite other bacteria to let make this house (mouth) their new home, which means that plaque keeps on dirtying your teeth day by day.
If seen, plaque starts accumulating only after not brushing for a day, but after not brushing for a week, it will become a thousand times stronger and about 30 to 40 times your teeth will start looking yellowish. Your teeth will be discolored and your mouth will smell as if a drain stinks. After three months without brushing, large cavities will start to form inside your teeth and the gums will start to loosen. If we scientifically say this in an uncommon language, after one year there will be a condition called Periodontitis (a gum disease which can be very painful) due to which your mouth gums will start leaving your teeth.
And when your tooth falls out, the space it creates will invite more bacteria into it. And after about a year or 13, 14 months, there will be so much population of bacteria that your immune system will start damaging the gum, after that, your teeth will start falling out one by one. As we know, a dirty mouth can also bring many other diseases to the body because when bacteria in the mouth aren't cleared out, it can push the immune system into overdrive and cause many other severe problems in other parts of the body, which could be very dangerous and harmful for us.
