Tiger is such a dangerous predator that is known to primarily prey on other animals and which everyone wants to see from afar as no one dares to approach it. In history, there exists one such tragic story of a dreaded tiger who was responsible for numerous human deaths. The most infamous man-eater in the history of India has been the tigress of Champawat, who is known to have killed an estimated 436 people, the highest number of fatalities from a tiger. First, this tigress made people its prey in Nepal, after that, it was driven towards India, and created drastic terror in the Chamwapat town of Uttarakhand.
The incident dates back to the year 1907 when there used to be a good number of tigers and leopards in the dense forests of Uttarakhand. But in the meantime, the knock of a dangerous tigress created panic among the people, who moved from Nepal to Champawat and made about 436 people her victims across the River Mahakali. No one had enough courage to hunt that dangerous tigress, as a result of which there was a deep apprehension in the minds of the family members until the person passing through that path reached his home safely.

Earlier, when this tigress was in a Rupal village in western Nepal, the people there started dying not at night but also during the day, because no one could escape from its attack. Initially, hunters were sent to kill the tigress, but she managed to escape from them. While doing the same, she killed 200 Nepalese people, after which the government there started getting worried, and in order to kill that tigress, Nepal even put its army in this work. But the tigress could not even come under the control of those soldiers as they were failing to capture or kill her. After which they thought that if they can not kill her, then why not drive her away from there. As a result, the soldiers strategized to force the tigress to leave her territory and somehow succeeded in driving her across the border into India.
After this, she entered the Kumaon region in Uttarakhand and continued her killing activities there. Any women or children who had gone into the forest to collect firewood did not return from there, which created an atmosphere of panic in the entire area. Because most of her victims were young women and children. Then Jim Corbett, the most famous hunter of that time, was called to kill this tigress. But this tigress was so fierce that even Jim Corbett could not catch her easily as he had to make several efforts to capture her. But finally, after so many vigorous attempts, the day came when Jim Corbett, along with the villagers, managed to kill her. He shot the tigress dead by hitting her in the chest and shoulder. But by the time the tigress died, she had killed almost 436 people including India and Nepal, and thus became the most dangerous tigress in history.
